Serve: 2-3

Ingredients:

300gram                              Lean mince turkey

15-20                                    Spring roll pastry sheet

4tbs                                      Coconut oil

1tsp                                       Sugar

1tsp                                       Corn flour

1tsp                                       Oyster sauce

1/2tsp                                   Fish sauce

1/4tsp                                   Salt

1/4tsp                                   Ground pepper

1                                            Small bowl of water

Method

Pre-heat the oven at 200 Celsius.

-Put the mince turkey, sugar, corn flour, oyster sauce, fish sauce, salt and ground pepper into a mixing bowl. Mix all the ingredients until combined.

-Lay a spring roll pastry on the chopping board. Then put about 1 teaspoon of the mince turkey mixture onto each pastry sheet. Fold the sheet into triangle shape, then dampen the wonton edge with the water with your hand or brush. Repeat this process until you finish all the turkey mixture.

-Put the coconut oil in the frying pan. Fry the wontons until they turn very slightly golden in colour. Then transfer them onto a baking tray.

-Spread the wontons separately onto the baking tray. Then bake them until the turkey is cooked and the pastry turns into a darker golden brown in colour. Usually, it will takes about 6-8 minutes.

-Serve these light yet satisfying turkey meatball wontons with sweet chilli sauce dipping.

Tips:

-You can also use the filo pastry for this turkey meatball wonton recipe. Make sure you cut the filo pastry into approx 5″ * 5″. Also adjust the baking time accordingly.

-I do like to serve the wontons with salad or use them as a crispy garnish for my noodle soup.
