Brussels Sprouts in Soya Bean Paste
160 gram Brussels Sprout-washed and trimmed
10 gram Red chilli-chopped
2 Garlic clove-peeled and finely chopped
2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
2 teaspoon Thai soya bean paste
1/2 teaspoon Light brown sugar
-Heat oil in the frying pan. Add Brussels Sprouts and gently stir for approx 5 minutes.
-In goes the garlic, light brown sugar, and red chili. Then stir-fry for a further 3 minutes.
-Put the Thai soya bean paste and fold all the ingredients together, cook for further 2 minutes and serve immediately.
– I prefer to cook Brussels Sprouts in the cast iron pan. The thick metal at the bottom of the pan helps deliver the perfectly cooked sprouts without burning.
-Replace Thai soya bean paste with Miso paste, if you struggled to find one. But trust me it’s totally worth your while to get just a small bottle. Check Thai Kitchen Staples on my blog.
-Keep an eye on the pan at all times as it can get easily burnt.
